  • ITMA ASIA + CITME ENJOYS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATION

    19 October 2018 – ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018, the region’s leading textile machinery exhibition, ended successfully after five days of exciting product demonstrations and business networking.

    The sixth combined exhibition welcomed visitorship of over 100,000 from 116 countries and regions, with an increase of 10 per cent from domestic visitors compared to the 2016 show. About 20 per cent of the visitors came from outside of China.

    Of the overseas participants, Indian visitors top the list, reflecting the strong growth of its textile industry. Following closely were trade visitors from Japan, China Taiwan, Korea and Bangladesh.

    Mr Fritz P. Mayer, President of CEMATEX, said: “Response to the combined show has been very strong. There was a larger pool of qualified buyers and most of our exhibitors were able to achieve their business objectives. We are delighted with the positive outcome from our latest event.”

    Mr Wang Shutian, President of China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), added: “The strong turnout of visitors to the combined show reinforces the reputation of ITMA ASIA + CITME as the most effective business platform in China for the industry. We shall continue to do our best to present the best technologies from both east and west to Chinese and Asian buyers.”

    The total exhibition area at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 grossed 180,000 square metres and spanned seven halls. A total of 1,733 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions demonstrated their latest technological products that focus on automation and sustainable production.

    Following the successful staging of the 2018 edition, the next ITMA ASIA + CITME will be held in October 2020 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai.

    The combined show is owned by CEMATEX, together with its Chinese partners – the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China International Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC). It is organised by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd and co-organised by ITMA Services.

  • SIXTH ITMA ASIA + CITME COMBINED SHOW FOCUSES ON TAKING THE INDUSTRY FORWARD

    15 October 2018 – The sixth ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 exhibition opens today in Shanghai with industry players set to focus on technology’s impact on taking China’s textile industry forward into the future.

    The combined show grosses 180,000 square metres of exhibition space and has attracted a total of 1,733 exhibitors from 28 countries and economies to showcase a wide array of latest technology solutions that will help textile makers to become more competitive.

    Mr Fritz P. Mayer, president of CEMATEX, said: “Each ITMA ASIA + CITME edition features an interesting presentation of the latest technologies by European exhibitors. On show this year will be a wide range of solutions for automation and sustainable production, as well as those for the production of technical textiles and nonwoven materials.”

    Mr Wang Shutian, president of China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), added: “The combined show provides industry members with a useful platform to conduct business, and learn about exciting new trends. Hence, we are very pleased to have the participation of both large and emerging players as they are important for meaningful industry collaboration, dialogue and networking.”

    Following the tradition of ITMA and ITMA ASIA exhibitions, only manufacturers of textile machinery and accessories are qualified to take part in the combined show, and exhibitors must display original equipment on their stand, creating added interest for visitors.

    China fields the biggest number of participants, occupying over 68,000 square metres of net exhibit space. In terms of Asian participation, Japan is the next biggest group, taking up over 3,500 square metres of net space. China Taiwan occupies nearly 2,500 square metres net.

    In terms of European participation, Germany takes the largest space at nearly 6,400 square metres. This is followed closely by Italy with more than 5,200 square metres, and Switzerland with over 2,600 square metres.

    By product categories, spinning is the largest sector, occupying 22 per cent of the total exhibit space. Finishing machinery forms the next biggest group at 20 per cent, followed by knitting (19 per cent) and weaving (17 per cent).

    ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 is owned by CEMATEX and its Chinese partners - the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC). It is organised by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd and co-organised by ITMA Services. The Japan Textile Machinery Association (JTMA) is a special partner of the show.

    The exhibition ends on 19 October 2018. Opening hours are from 0900 to 1700 hours. Visitors can purchase their badges onsite at the registration areas. Onsite rates are 50 yuan for a one- day badge and 100 yuan for a five-day badge.

  • ONLINE VISITOR REGISTRATION FOR ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 OPENS

    27June 2018 – The sixth combined ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition is gearing up for another huge showcase in Shanghai, China. It is expected to attract a trade visitorship of around 100,000 from around the world.

     “We are looking forward to welcoming large numbers of visitors from both inside and outside of China to the combined show, and we would like to encourage our visitors to plan their trip early and purchase their badge online now to beat the onsite queues. Registering ahead of time on the show website provides visitors with useful information for preparing their trip and finding out the details on the exhibitors,” said Mr Fritz P. Mayer, president of CEMATEX.

    Special rates are available to visitors who purchase their badge online at www.itmaasia.com and www.citme.com.cn from now until 30 September 2018. The early bird badge rates are RMB 60 for a five-day badge and RMB 30 for a one-day badge. The standard badge rates cost RMB 100 for a five-day badge and RMB 50 for a one-day badge.

    For added convenience, visitors may print their badges after successful registration. This time-saving feature further helps visitors to avoid possible long onsite queues during the show.

    As most foreign nationals will need a visa to enter China, visitors are also encouraged to submit their visa application early to avoid possible disruption to their trip.

    Additional space booked to meet demand

    Due to an overwhelming response, the joint owners of the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 exhibition have now booked additional space at the North Hall (NH) at National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC).

    With the additional space, the sector allocation plan has been revised to accommodate more exhibitors.

    Said Mr Wang Shutian, president of China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), “The strong demand for space attests to the effectiveness and popularity of the combined show. We had a long waiting list for space by the deadline for applications. Therefore, we made the decision to book the additional space available in the venue.”

    Held from 15 to 19 October 2018, ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 is owned by CEMATEX and its Chinese partners - the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC).
